Welcome to GAT! Known to most as Girl About Town, we are your go-to bachelorette and party concierge company based in Scottsdale, AZ.

Our specialty is helping out-of-town groups find the perfect spot for their travels, then making it feel just like home by filling the fridge for their arrival, planning itineraries, vacation rental decorating, brunch reservations, and all the details.

Girl About Town

What we do

Our niche clientele is bachelorette groups who are traveling to town for one last hoorah before the big day, but we do sooo much more! Now a multifaceted business, we've added Guy About Town to serve bachelor parties and have become co-hosts to a beautiful vacation rental near Old Town Scottsdale! Plus, through our little black book of local business owners and vacation rental owners, we've evolved into a small business support company, assisting entrepreneurs with logo and branding creation, content creation, and more!

Meghan Alfonso

Meghan Alfonso | CEO & Founder

Meghan Alfonso is the CEO and founder of GAT (Girl/Guy About Town). Being 5th generation Phoenician she loves showing off her beautiful town. Always a party planner at heart Meghan enjoys hosting and connecting with others and creating a one of a kind event. A wife, mom, and a business owner she is excited to watch GAT grow!

Alex Dermody | Social Media Manager

Alex is the Social Media Manager for GAT, where she handles everything GAT from Instagram to TikTok! She was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University in 2019. Aside from working for GAT she is also the current Varsity Pom Coach for Desert Mountain High School. She loves to be out and about in Scottsdale and is passionate about growing the GAT brand from the ground up. When she started there were only 3 full time GAT employees, and now we have been able to grow to 7 full time employees and multiple part time employees! Brenna Testa

Brenna Testa | Lead Event Coordinator

Brenna is one of our Lead Coordinator at GAT. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Tourism and a minor in Special Event Management. Brenna is very passionate about event planning and started her career planning events for her sorority. Being from a small town outside of Chicago, she loves to explore all of Arizona and enjoy the outdoors whenever she can! GAT has been such an exciting adventure for her so far and she cannot wait to be working alongside the company as it keeps on growing!

Sheridan Collins | Lead Event Coordinator

Sheridan is one of the Lead Event Coordinators here at GAT. She has a passion for creating beautiful, unique, events and VIP experiences for GAT guests visiting Scottsdale. Sheridan has been in the event coordinating industry since 2017, and has worked on events large and small, ranging from international travel events with 100-300+ attendees, concerts, weddings, and pop-up events. She has an eye for design and passion for creating memorable experiences attendees will cherish forever! You can count on her to create a weekend of a lifetime for your group in Scottsdale.

Kayla Nelson

Kayla Nelson | Event Assistant

Kayla is one of our current event assistants and the hotel coordinator at GAT. She recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management with a minor in Tourism. Kayla is passionate about creating events and experiences while making sure her guests get to enjoy all the amazing things Arizona has to offer. Aside from GAT, Kayla also works at Wine Girl Scottsdale where she gets to see al the bach action first hand! 

Lauren Gamez | Warehouse Manager

Lauren is the Warehouse Manager at GAT. She deals with inventory and is in charge of making sure everything is clean, organized, and works properly. Lauren was born and raised in Glendale, AZ and has an associate degree in Business Management from Phoenix Community College. Her passion for event planning first sparked when she had her son. Working at GAT has been a dream come true for her, allowing her to express her creativeness and work alongside an amazing team of women. She’s excited to continue her journey with GAT and see how it grows.

Lauren Gamez

Lexi Turner | Event Hiring Manager

Lexi is our Event Hiring Manager at GAT! She has been in the creative industry for the last few years and found her passion for event planning along the way. She loves being in a creative environment surrounded by empowering women on a daily basis and giving people the best experience possible while traveling to Arizona. When she isn't working at GAT, Lexi also owns and runs her own online clothing store called Beyond the Basic!

Tianna Thorpe | Social Media Assistant

Tianna is our Social Media & Graphic Assistant. She was born and raised in Missouri and recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with degrees in Graphic Design and Professional Writing. Tianna has been in the event industry since 2019 and actually works as a wedding planner when she isn't creating graphics for GAT! She loves being able to combine her love for design and event planning in an environment that is so uplifting and encouraging.

Sonya Lyon

Sonya Lyon | Office Manager

Sonya is the Office Manager here at GAT. She was born and raised in northern California in the beautiful wine country. As she always says, Hospitality is in her blood! She graduated with a Behavioral Science Degree while working years for Marriott. She expanded her career by assisting in coordination of weddings and events. She loves working with likeminded, driven and creative women while seeing GAT’s growth! Outside of organizing the office and supporting all of the Gat Girls and the events, she is a wedding hair stylist and enjoys networking events in business and beauty.

Ally Boles | Lead Event Assistant

Ally is GAT’s Lead Event Assistant and feels so lucky to be one of the girls on-site with our clients! Ally was born and raised in Northern California but has found a home in Arizona. She recently graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and relocated to Scottsdale to work for GAT! Ally has always felt at home planning and decorating for events, so she has loved every second of working for us. Apart from working for GAT, Ally also plans weddings here in the Scottsdale area!

Megan Oleno

Megan Oleno | Website Manager

Megan met GAT's founder, Meghan Alfonso, in 2011 when they worked together at Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. They kept in touch over the years and after Meghan Alfonso started the Pearce Family Foundation, Megan started volunteering at fundraising events. The Pearce Family Foundation is a Scottsdale based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to local families that have a child who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening or chronic illness. Megan now works with Meghan Alfonso full time planning events for PFF and managing the Girl About Town website.

Katelyn and Cara are bff Colorado locals who have wanted to work with Girl About Town ever since planning Katelyn’s bachelorette party! Planning, coordinating, and organizing events have always been a passion of theirs, and they are so excited to be able to help bachelors and bachelorettes have an incredible trip out in Colorado. You’ll have an amazing experience in the Rockies with this dynamic duo!
