3 Best Dive Bars in Old Town

Scottsdale is known for its luxury shopping, amazing restaurants and clubs and of course our ability to entertain the wildest of people. Even though Old Town is filled with your all-nighter spots, we do offer some of the best local dive bars you can find. Think of it as a mixture of everyone you’ve met in your entire life, all piled into one bar. Trust me, you won’t be bored hanging out with some of the locals during the day and switching it up to your bachelorette parties and college kids at night. Here are 3 of my favorite dive bars that make or break your trip to Scottsdale.

On the top of my dive bar pyramid is Gilligan’s. Not only is it directly in the center of Old Town and near all your favorite clubbing bars, but it’s the perfect place to end your night with a chill DJ and spin the wheel they have with tons of different types of shots! Be careful though, some of them will have you waking up the next morning wondering how you got home. Another quirk of Gilligan’s is their indoor and outdoor seating making this perfect for large groups who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a table while still getting some strong, cheap drinks!

Next up is the infamous Pattie’s First Lounge Ave. This is a crowd favorite spot and has been open for longer than most of its younger patrons have been alive. Don’t let that fool you because she is probably one of the busiest dive bars in Arizona. Covered in hundreds of dollar bills left by the guests with raunchy phrases and pictures, the ambiance screams come in for a cheap beer to pregame the rest of the night. It is a little out of the way from your other bars, but trust me it’s worth the walk (or the convenient golf cart ride which I personally will be taking if I'm wearing heels).

Last but not least, Old Town Tavern is on my list for its amazing live music as well as its variety of different deals. Dive bars are known for their cheap beer and spirits but when I hear $4 mimosas all day on Sundays, I'm there and you should be too. If you’re not into the bubbly, they have extremely cheap bottles of wine you can sip on. I know what you’re thinking, wine and dive bar? This is just to get the party started, then you can pick what shots you’ll be taking after.

I loved reading about these dive bars, the descriptions really make you want to visit each one. While looking for similar well-written guides online I came across a really informative site that covers practical topics in a refreshing way. Highly recommend checking it out.

It looks like foodle is a pretty easy game that anyone can play. It got thousands of users in just a few days after it came out. One cool thing about the Foodle game is that you can make up your own word combinations, but they have to fit with the theme and be right keywords for the game.

I enjoyed your list of the best dive bars in Old Town because it really brought the fun and vibe of each place to life and made me want to explore them with friends. Last semester when I was writing a long paper I used manuscript writing service USA to help me turn my rough draft into clear sentences before I handed it in, so I know how details can make a big difference. Your post made me think about finding cool local spots and having good times.

I read the post about the best dive bars in Old Town and it made me laugh remembering my first time trying places like that with friends when I moved cities. I also had to use law project editing help for students once while waiting for drinks because my assignment was due the next day and I was tired. It felt weird but taught me to balance work and fun.
