Boho Baby Shower Ideas From a Real Scottsdale Shower We Planned

Dreamy, whimsical, boho chic. Those were the words everyone kept using at this Scottsdale baby shower, and honestly, we'll take it. The mom to be, Caroline, is one of Meghan's closest friends and the one who always shows up for everyone else's bachelorettes, bridal showers, and weddings. So when it was her turn to celebrate her first baby girl, we went all in.

The Boho Baby Shower Look: Pink, Crystal Blue, and Florals

Guests sat at long tables lined in pink, with crystal blue vases and decor running down the middle. Caroline took the seat at the head of the table so she could see all of her guests, with her closest friends seated right next to her. It's a simple setup move that makes the mom to be feel like the center of the day without a stage or a "throne."

The finishing touch was a custom flower crown made just for her by Tatum Flowers. Her hair was done by Lauren Wohlin of S+L Trends, so she was photo-ready before the first guest walked in.

Vegan and Gluten-Free Baby Shower Food That Guests Actually Loved

Caroline had two big requests: vegan desserts and a few gluten-free, vegan-friendly food options. She was set on desserts from Positively Frosted, a local vegan bakery in the Valley. Mandi, the owner, took every request we had and created desserts based on the inspiration photos we sent her. They looked as good as they tasted.

The luncheon was catered by LGO, which made it easy to feed a full table while keeping the dietary requests covered.

Nobody wants a shower where guests stare at their phones between gifts. Here's what kept this crowd busy:

Our Tips for Planning a Scottsdale Baby Shower

1. Lock in the dietary requests first. Dessert and catering choices drive everything else, so we booked Positively Frosted and LGO before we touched decor.

2. Pick two or three colors and repeat them. Pink linens and crystal blue accents did more for the boho vibe than a pile of random props would have.

3. Give the mom to be one standout piece. A custom flower crown photographs beautifully and makes it obvious who the guest of honor is.

4. Plan at least one hands-on activity. A headband station keeps guests mingling and handles your party favors at the same time.

5. Let family help, but give them a job. Caroline's sisters, mom, sister in law, and a close friend were all eager to pitch in, and giving each of them a role made the shower a breeze to host.
