Dreamy, whimsical, boho chic, were just a few of the words that described the most recent baby shower Girl About Town planned. Not only was the shower for a special baby girl, the mom to be is one of Meghan’s closest friend.
The goal was to make it a special afternoon celebrating “baby girl”. Caroline (the mom to be) is a first time mom and is one who has been there for all of her friends; bachelorettes, bridal showers, weddings, and more. This was a day to celebrate Caroline and Ernesto’s little baby girl with love and excitement of her arrival.
A few special requests from the mom included, vegan desserts as well as a few gluten free and vegan friendly food. She was persistent on having the desserts come from Positively Frosted, a local vegan bakery in the Valley. Working with the owner of the company was very non stressful and she took every request we had. Mandi (the owner) created beautiful and tasty desserts off of images we sent her as inspiration. The luncheon was catered by LGO and the guests enjoyed their meal at pink lined tables with crystal blue vases and decor sprinkled down the middle. Caroline requested a few of her closest friends sit near her while she enjoyed a seat at the head of the table to overlook her guests. Her flower crown was made specially for her by Tatum Flowers and her hair was done by Lauren Wohlin of S+L Trends.
A headband making station, a “he said/she said” game, and a chance to put in your advise on what to name the new baby entertained the guests. Caroline’s sister made a beautiful customize guestbook for her. To see more of her work check out Artist Christina Carmel.
We had so much fun working with this family and being able to help throw a beautiful shower for Caroline. Her two sisters, mom, a close friend, and sister in law were all eager to help making the shower a breeze to host.
