Take me out to Spring Training!

Springtime in Scottsdale is everyone’s favorite time of the year as it brings Spring Training!

Girl About Town has the perfect list of restaurants and bars you need to check out as we head into baseball season. GAT took Monday off to experience firsthand how much fun Spring Training is and believe us, this is something you at least need to experience once every season. The team started at Zipps off Hayden and Via De Ventura and enjoyed Zipparittas, nachos, and their ever-famous focaccias before heading to the game to watch the Rockies play the Rangers. After making the jumbotron a few times the girls all approved that a day at the ballpark is a perfect way to spend an afternoon!

Here are a few of our top stadiums you should check out and all are GAT-approved!

North Scottsdale at Salt River Fields cheering on the AZ Diamondbacks or the Colorado Rockies, here are a few MUST stops before or after the game!

Famous 48 is a popular bar & tavern serving American classics. A popular item they feature is the baby back ribs and a personal favorite, the cornbread skillet. Happy hour consists of their frozen margaritas to cool you off after a day spent in the sun! Another great place to check out is Rockefeller. They have the best happy hour in Scottsdale, featuring their signature cocktails and calamari! The Shrimp Ceviche will fill your seafood expectations. If you’re a lover of Italian food, you can’t miss out on Campo Italian Bar & Bistro. Their house made pastas will have you filled after a long day at the stadium. They also have a great happy hour menu that features a margarita pizza along with a bottle of house wine. Sumomaya, a Mexican Asian kitchen, is the ideal restaurant for a fun environment to keep the energy going after the game! The lavish environment provides you with special cocktails and delish food. On the weekends they offer bottomless brunch from 10 am-2 pm.

Hohokam Stadium, located in Mesa and home to the Oakland A’s, it has plenty of great options for you to add to your day of Spring Training! 12 West Brewing, located in the heart of Mesa, is a well-known taproom that features craft beer and house-made dishes you’ll love. The restaurant also holds an underground lounge with live music and weekly trivia! Bobby Q is the perfect spot for an upscale BBQ! The restaurant is popular for their signature drink, Priscilla's Dream, along with the Q-rolls on the starters menu. Finish off your night with a favorite, Miss McGee’s Mud Pie!

Pedal Haus Brewery is the most popular destination for beer lovers! They brew award winning beer and provide an extensive amount of different food selections. The Bavarian pretzel is a must try! Along with the cold beers and popular food, the brewery has a unique atmosphere.
