Scottsdale has no shortage of boutique hotels, and we've stayed in (and decorated) enough of them to know which ones are worth booking for a group. Not staying in an Airbnb this trip? No worries, Girl About Town brings the hotel decorating wherever you're staying, from Old Town landmarks to newer boutique properties just outside the city.
Our bachelorette package includes oversized 40 inch “bride” balloon letters, balloons scattered across the floor, a mini garland, and goodies for the bride, plus optional extras like a veil or robe from our shop. Our birthday groups get “happy birthday” balloons and an age number, with the same shop add-ons available.
The Scott is a go-to for bach groups and girls' weekends. Walk in and you're transported straight to Cuba. Think private cabanas, a sand-bottom pool, La Vidorra spa, and The Canal Club, where a hot pink neon sign and a craft cocktail in hand make the perfect shot for your feed.
Want to be in the middle of the action? The W Scottsdale sits right in the entertainment district and is built for groups who want nightlife within stumbling distance. Book a table at the WET deck for a pool party with DJs and bottle service.
The Sanctuary is one of our favorites for groups who want to slow down without giving up the perks of a hotel. It sits on Camelback Mountain with desert views for days, and the private villas give bigger groups the space of a rental with the amenities of a resort, including pools, a full spa, and sport courts.
Senna House is one of the newest boutique additions to downtown Scottsdale's Old Town and it's the mix of luxury and laid-back that Scottsdale does best. Head up to the Sonora Swim Club rooftop pool for daybeds and cabanas, then grab coastal cocktails and modern Mediterranean plates at Cala.
Hotel Valley Ho is the original boutique hotel in Scottsdale, and still the coolest. This mid-century modern property has been a downtown Scottsdale landmark since 1956, and the OH Pool Bar and cabanas still look like they were built for a photo shoot, because they basically were. If your group wants retro glam over polished-new, this is your spot.
Mountain Shadows in Paradise Valley actually built a bachelorette package around this exact idea, so we're not mad about it. Their Pampered in Paradise package comes with prosecco on arrival, a food and beverage credit, and poolside drinks at The Citizens Club, their resort pool complex. Add our balloon setup and the room's done before happy hour starts.
The Global Ambassador is a newer boutique property sitting right where Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley meet, in the shadow of Camelback Mountain, and it's easily one of the most photogenic hotels in the Valley right now. Between théa on the rooftop, poolside margaritas and ceviche at Pink Dolphin, and a Parisian steakhouse for the group dinner, there's a different vibe for every night of your trip.
